Gita Omri Runway Show NYFW S/S2023 and my outfit





It has been a week now, and I still can't fathom the fact that I attended NYFW S/S2023. As a fashion blogger, attending NYFW presents numerous opportunities for networking and, most importantly, witnessing the work and style of many incredibly talented people, while also realizing how much I need to learn and improve.






My 1st Show was the Gita Omri Runway show. It is a very special show, and as a woman, I can relate to it. I love the fact that the worldview has been changing about women's standard of beauty and breaking all the status quo, belonging to one size group. Gita Omri's show called Resilience in NYFW S/S2023 Runway Show is NOT PLUS, NOT MINUS, JUST WOMENSWEAR. 


 It's about size inclusivity and promoting body positivity in her 37-piece capsule collection. It was a unique and awe-inspiring experience with two models of the same look walking down the runway, irrespective of their size, skin tone, and appearance, where one was wearing a size 2 and the other a size 20. The collection layout is from sizes 0 to 30. Based in NYC, this Israeli-American designer line offers easy-breezy skirts, blouses, co-ord sets, and dresses in all lengths, featuring silk florals and laces. What I wore - A black Midi dress with an allover multi-color mushroom print and green crystal and pearl earrings. My hair and makeup are neutral and natural. Stay tuned for the second post.

Jurun...an assamese beautiful pre-wedding ceremony

  Indian weddings encompass many beautiful ceremonies and traditions. In Assamese culture, Jurun is a pre-wedding ceremony. It usually occurs a day or two before the wedding day, sometimes even on the same day of the wedding. Bartaco, West Hartford , Connecticut review

It was a usual February day, the chill felt like tucking in the furry comforter and stay cozy at home. But, the matter of the fact was that it was my birthday  and my family wanted me to take out for dinner. I was reluctant and wanted to stay at home. My little one was after me and I couldn't say no.
