  A cultural maven, Sitting in the southern parts of Vermont , this small, hilly town has a sauve yet cozy small-town vibe. About four hours from NYC or 2 hours from Boston is doable in a day or two, or you can take a day trip. It is a perfect retreat for a city hustler or if you want to escape from the mundane. It is a four-season retreat; however, I would love to visit Manchester in the fall. I love how the picturesque town of Newengland blazed with vivid color. I love visiting beautiful farms bestowed upon nature's bounty and have always enjoyed apple cider donuts and ice cream, to name a few. I love to see the town, if we call it a town, but not very hurried. It has an old-world charm with one-of-a-kind hotels, inns, and historic churches.    New England and its iconic fall foliage season; if you are in Stowe, you probably should thank your stars because this is the place that truly turns into a fall wonderland. I'm sure that if you've followed my blog by now, you know how much I love to visit offbeat places. When it comes to offbeat places, Vermont immediately comes to mind. No matter how many times I visited, I still felt wanderlust. Visiting Vermont in the fall has its charm. The little rustic towns accentuate fall aesthetics and beauty, not just for your eyes but also for your soul. I often wonder and find it intriguing how these places maintain their beauty and tranquility in a time of scientific and technological advancement, when the rest of the world is in constant motion.  Here I was in a little piece of heaven called Weston. A little town was not so little when it came to its charm and beauty.   Azure sky, crisp crimson, mustard leaves, scenic drives not just depicts fall in Woodstock but the mileage of human aesthetics merges into it to create the surreal scene. Picturesque farm, winding dirt roads, historic covered bridges, buildings are signature of quintessential small-town Vermont's fall charm and the world enfolds with never-ending beauty. Nestled in central Vermont , Woodstock is a fall wonderland when the autumn palette files with vivid colors and makes it an ultimate fall bucket list.  Not just nature in autumn, Woodstock's every nooks and corner is equally decked up from porches to patios to the gardens with the autumn vibe and almost turns into a festive vibe. There is nowhere you feel like you feel here.  Visit quaint farmhouses nearby Woodstock, take a walk in the covered bridge, or stroll in the downtown and sip a cup of tea or coffee and taste the local bakery and behold the entire scene forever.

I love visiting small towns. There is something about a small town that always intrigues me: the spirit, the charm, or its own heart. Every small town has a character far removed from the urban spin, with offbeat food, alleys, and bylanes. Small Towns always carry a one-of-a-kind character and signature, whether it's smell, flavor, food, or people. Whenever you visit a small town, you always find something new and interesting.            Last week, during my  fall visit to the New Hampshire White Mountain region, I visited Littleton, a hidden gem indeed, with a great river walk, a covered bridge, the First Methodist Church, shopping both local and global, and great restaurants and cafes that make a lovely town to visit and unwind.
