Simple Diwali look

Hope you all are doing well. You can enjoy the fantastic weather if you are on the East Coast. We had a lovely Diwali celebration at home. It was low-key but certainly beautiful, with a lot of family time and good, old-fashioned homemade food. I had a variety of Indian sweets and other indulgent treats, which I still enjoy. And we are almost at the last day of October. I just got caught up in the festivities and fall foliage, and I don't feel like letting it go. Anyway, I'm sharing some pictures of our home's Diwali celebration. Wearing a cotton apple green salwar kameez with organza dupatta and rose hand floral prints. I love the delicious color of the suit and the dark statement lips for a festive feel; otherwise, it's an easy, breezy, simple outfit. A loose, messy hair bun and some roses, of course. Hope you like this simple Diwali look.

Happy Stay home Diwali and the outfit

How are you doing? This is Diwali weekend, as Diwali falls on a weekday, many people celebrate on the weekend. In India, every state celebrates it in many different ways. As Diwali is the festival of lights, I always celebrate it as a festival of positivity. It imbues me with a sense of soulful satisfaction, much like lighting Diwali diya's (earthen lamps or candles) in a house filled with light and visibility. Over the last two years, we have yearned for the world to return to normalcy, praying that darkness would end and light would fill our hearts and souls.  And here comes our low-key festival celebration just with my family. I prepared a few Indian sweets and made a festive lunch for my family, by the way, didn't count the calories but memories 😇. For the outfit , I chose a deep coffee-brown Chanderi saree with silver motifs and oink enamel work. I teamed the saree with a hot pink blouse, some pearls, pink lipstick, and dark brown eye makeup. I hope you like this look....

Stay Home Kinda Diwali and outfit of the day

When you celebrate festivity or any celebration with your friends and family, it always doubles up the joy. Alas, 2020 is not like any other year in which we share our happiness with others. 2020 brought so many unexpected changes to my life and my family. Many times, I almost felt that my life had taken a pause, but the beauty of human life is that it never stops; it just flows like a river.  We had no get-together or such celebration this Diwali; however, we celebrated with Zoom Diwali. I set up our dining table according to the Diwali theme with everything we had available. I cooked my favorite food for my family. Then we all dressed up for Diwali ; it surely made us smile a bit more. We lit up Diyas(Earthen lamp), colorful candles. It was absolutely divine. I wore a pink Paithani saree, a simple hair bun, and some multi-stone jewelry. My saree is light pink, and the border is bright pink. I wore a dark pink tone lipstick just to match with the saree. Did you no...

Happy Diwali to you all and a Diwali outfit

It was a lovely Fall morning, and complementing that was the quintessential rain.  How gorgeous, imagine.  I was at my window, having a cup of Assam tea alone; it was beautiful, but with company, it would have been sheer bliss.  My husband and son were out for the day for a swim meet. And Today is Diwali , the festival of light. I feel a bit lazy, yes, rain makes me lazy, and it tries to hold me back close to my window. There is no time to laze around when you have festivals. I quickly got up and made some Indian sweets, prepared for the Diwali special dinner, and in between, I had a quick lunch fix. When my husband and son were back, I was almost done with everything.     Let's take you to today's Diwali outfit post. A red Banarasi saree  with antique thread motifs throughout makes the saree heavier than regular Banarasi sarees. That also makes the saree perfect for a fall-winter soiree and keeps you warm. As the saree is the hero of...
