What to wear for NYFW

Hi There, For the first time, I missed my 1st Show this season in NYFW as the weather has been really bad on the East Coast. T orrential  downpours and power cuts had happened, which was enough reason to create gridlocks. I usually stay in New York during NYFW , but this season I had 3 shows on the same day and I decided not to stay in the city but to return the same day to cope with my kid's busy schedules. Our home to NYC is a 2-hour drive and today it took 4 hours, so I couldn't attend my 1st show as most shows run on time.  However, I wanted to share what I wore for the show. How I decide what to wear for the show. It takes a lot of thought and ideas to create an ideal look to attend such a show. Looking good is just one criteria, but the look should be such that it not only creates an impact but at the same time it should align with your personal style. A statement look is always good for Big 4 and uncomfortableness is the last thing we opt for. In addition, we have to k

Bandra, Mumbai .....connecting, creating and coexisting

A few years back when I visited Mumbai , I touched the major tourist spots in Mumbai. After a few years, now I got the chance to visit a few neighborhoods in Mumbai . Bandra is one of the most popular neighborhoods. Synonym to the residence of many Bollywood celebrity's homes. Growing up in the 90s as a kid in India, there is no way you are not exposed to Bollywood. Bollywood is not just about movies but also about star-studded life. Back then, the was no influence of social media yet heard about the affluent suburb of Mumbai Bandra where many stars reside. In the 20s people who visit Mumbai make sure to visit Bandra to see Manat Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan's home. Also, to get a glimpse of the superstar. Today's Bandra is hip utterly modern filled with a great fashion hub, great eateries, art music, and many more. Encompassed by the Arabian Sea, Bandra conjures the co-existence of cultures, communities, religions, and financial status. Where standing tall is the Moun

Gillette castle State Park....A Connecticut lovely retreat

I had been to Gillette castle many times and twice inside, but don't know why it took me a while to blog about this unique castle and the state park. Just 30 minutes from Connecticut's capital Hartford, it sits right above a cliff overlooking the Connecticut River. This amazing stone castle's outdoors is as mesmerizing as its indoors. It has so many characters whether intricately carved wooden doors, bars, walls, or as detailed as wooden switchboards. While visiting this castle you admire this incredible man called William Gillette, his vision, and the creative ideas which were incorporated to build this castle. It took us back to 1912, William Gillette an accomplished actor who portrayed Sherlock Holmes, was born in Hartford in 1853 and discovered this location in a boat trip in the Connecticut River in 1912. Since he didn't own a permanent home, he decided to build one here. It was completed in 1919 and cost about 1 million us dollars. With a 184-acre property, this

Santorini travel guide

Months back while thinking about Santorini at my home in Connecticut on one of those solitary winter nights, I'd already reached there in spirit. I was wondering whether the glee of visiting Santorini will truly be intact when I land there for real. After seeing so many pics and videos influx on social media, could it live up to the image I'd imagined?  The day approached and Santorini unfolded. Despite being bustling, is soulful and energetic with mileage of romance and wonders that captivate your senses once you reach there. It is heavily crowded despite enchanting and enigmatic and indeed above and beyond its hype.    Nested 200 km southeast of Athens , Santorini's history takes you back to the 16th-century volcanic eruption that created this iconic and insanely beautiful place. In the backdrop of balmy Aegean seas encapsulating blue domes cliff side whitewashed Cycladic house in the caldera is pulchritudinous as from the postcard.  When to Visit - The truth is
