S eptember, a month of eager anticipation, heralds the arrival of the NYFW S/S designs, a spectacle that never fails to inspire. From the dynamic debuts of emerging designers to the ever-evolving magic of veteran designers, each experience leaves an indelible mark on future fashion. This time, at the Global Fashion Collective in NYFW, I had the privilege to witness four unique collections, each with its one-of-a-kind perspective that will undoubtedly influence future fashion trends. The Tulip n’ Room-  the first collection by Xinyu Zheng and Dairu Ren unfolds with sheer magic, combining history with modern sensibilities. Neutral palettes and vintage fabric with hand-intricate details string together nostalgia with modernity. I would probably add that one can see this ramp in real life.   Living in a peaceful suburb in Connecticut, I always get psyched up visiting boisterously beautiful NYC - especially during Fashion Week when the swanky city gets even swankier. I have attended NYFW in Global Fashion Collective for the last few seasons. Yet, I am fascinated every time I attend and witness talented designers from around the globe,  and most importantly, each designer brings a bit of their country, culture, and art to NYFW. I am always in awe and amazed by Global Fashion Collective's knack for finding such one-of-a-kind designers. Attending NYFW is an enthralling experience. Global fashion collective in NYFW was my 1st Experience in NYFW F/W2022. Coming back and attending this year is even more special. In this event, I got to see different designers from across the globe under one roof. This time, I witnessed 4 unique multi-facet designers from 4 different countries.   Lunalee (USA) - GFC 1st show unfolds with Lunalee, a Korean American who grew up in California and moved to NYC. Chic and contemporary designs with a minimalist approach in dynamic shapes and silhouettes influence a unique blend of two continents, Korea and America. Dr. Maaya (Japan) - A trained Nuerosrgeon then studied Art and Design at Central St. Martin in London and showcased her creation in Vancouver Fashion Week 2019.   Attending one of the Big 4 fashion weeks (New York, London, Milan, Paris) is on every fashion blogger's or fashion aficionado's bucket list. Checking in to the prestigious NYFW in Global Fashion Collective's Fall/Winter 2022 was an experience of a lifetime. This year, the Global Fashion Collective in NYFW F/W 2022 featured three designers: Luis Corrales, Sanjukta Dutta, and Young-Eun Lee.  Here, I am excited to cover my birth state and India's renowned designer, Sanjukta Dutta.
