Manchester, Vermont a fall day trip and what to do

A cultural maven, Sitting in the southern parts of Vermont, this small, hilly town has a sauve yet cozy small-town vibe. About four hours from NYC or 2 hours from Boston is doable in a day or two, or you can take a day trip. It is a perfect retreat for a city hustler or if you want to escape from the mundane. It is a four-season retreat; however, I would love to visit Manchester in the fall. I love how the picturesque town of Newengland blazed with vivid color. I love visiting beautiful farms bestowed upon nature's bounty and have always enjoyed apple cider donuts and ice cream, to name a few. I love to see the town, if we call it a town, but not very hurried. It has an old-world charm with one-of-a-kind hotels, inns, and historic churches. The town's unique charm, with its old-world allure and one-of-a-kind accommodations, will enchant you. Eclectic dining scenes, world-class shopping Walking down one corner from others, you can chip a cup of tea or coffee, grab lunch from a nearby cafe, or sit down for a relaxed lunch in nearby restaurants.

Manchester, Vermont, is a treasure trove of experiences waiting to be discovered. From scenic drives to culinary delights, from historic walks to art appreciation, there's a diverse range of activities for everyone in this charming town. Whether you're a nature lover, a foodie, a history buff, or an art enthusiast, Manchester has something special in store for you. The sheer variety of experiences in Manchester will leave you excited and eager to plan your trip.

  1. Take a trip to Mount Equinox Skyline Drive- 5.2 miles each way. Skyline Drive is the longest privately owned, paved road in the United States, and it will get you to the summit of Mount Equinox. However, you can stop at several views, and on the top, at 3,848 feet, it's the highest peak; you can witness the stunning views and roughly 10°F cooler at the top, as well as clean bathrooms and picnic tables. It costs $20 for the car and driver and an additional per person costs 5 dollars, with children ten and under free.

  2. Walk around and shop in the historic downtown, filled with quiet shops, colonial houses, restaurants, beautiful churches, iconic hotels, restaurants, and cafes. Soak is in a picturesque town with an exquisite ambiance.

  3. Make sure to visit the Equinox Valley Nursery and Garden, which truly embodies the heart and culture of Vermont. Enjoy a scoop of ice cream or a seasonal donut as you explore the farm, which is always brimming with the season's colors. Whether it's the lined pumpkins, the variety of mums, the fresh vegetables, or the seasonal goodies, a visit to this farm is an experience you shouldn't miss.

  4. .Do dine and Art together at Southern Vermont Art Center and Curate Cafe on a beautiful day in Vermont in the fall. We heard culinary is an art. When Art and food come together, it's a unique experience. A creative dining amid an art center tucked away in a beautiful setting is impressive. Display of Art and collection of artifacts where you can dine painstakingly prepared fresh and delicious food under one roof, which is not very common. The ground is filled with artifacts, a display of Art with woods, and a small brook tapestry of fall color you shouldn't miss.

My favorite pieces of Assamese Traditional jewelry

My grandmother's thuria, age-old and heirloom jewelry, of course, not part-able         A piece of jewelry echoes a region's rich heritage, aesthetics and sensibilities and Assamese jewelry does not differ from that. A piece of jewelry not just enhances the wearer's beauty but identity as well.       A land of flamboyant rivers engulfed in exotic flora and fauna, birds, musical instruments Assamese jewelry is highly inspired by that. Sharing a few assamese pieces of jewelry from my personal collection.       An Assamese bride's dress up is incomplete without Assamese jewelry. Traditionally Assamese jewelry is purely handmade. The main frame is made out with 24-carat gold and lac is used as a filling material. Stones are studded on the top.  The creatively and meticulously studded stone craftsmanship resembles with pomegranate seeds. The color and texture of the stone are opulent and lurid jus...

Bartaco, West Hartford , Connecticut review

It was a usual February day, the chill felt like tucking in the furry comforter and stay cozy at home. But, the matter of the fact was that it was my birthday  and my family wanted me to take out for dinner. I was reluctant and wanted to stay at home. My little one was after me and I couldn't say no. I had no clue where we were heading for dinner and then here we were at the Bartaco. Vivacious Bartaco instantly took away my winter sluggishness. With a gracious greeting, modern contemporary laid back sitting and a bit of hustle and bustle made me alive in the winter freezing February. The high ceiling, ivory walls, earthy light shades stroked a tropical vibe and the food spoke a lot about Mexico and Latin America. As a sober, I chose housemade pomegranate lemonade and hubby got grapefruit ginger juice. I never had pomegranate lemonade before, I must say it was one of the coolest and refreshing lemonade I have ever had. The tint of lemonade not just took the look but ...
