Every year, more than 2 million visitors visit this most well-preserved medieval City, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Whether you are staying for a few hours or a few days, your memories of Bruges will last a lifetime. Bruges is the kind of City where you want to escape the mundane to satisfy your hunger for history or be smitten by its unparalleled beauty. It is very easily accessible from any other City in Europe by train, whether Amsterdam, Ghent, or Brussels. The best way to explore Bruges is on foot, but some people also rent bikes here.



1. Enjoy the finest handmade Belgian chocolate. You are in the realm of chocolate. Here, you can indulge in the best chocolate in the world. There are many iconic chocolate shops you can visit—Dumon Chocolatier, Old Chocolate House, Chocolate Line, etc. Visiting and tasting Belgian chocolate is an experience in its own right. You can taste a variety of unique flavours.  




2. Visit Markt, the Heart of the City. This square dates back to the 10th century and is the commercial heart of Bruges. Vibrant medieval buildings, lively cafes, and an iconic belfry tower surround this bustling square. The Gothic-style Basilica of the Holy Blood, a symbol of faith and devotion, and the 14th-century Bruges Town Hall, with its massive Gothic façade, are among Bruges' most iconic and stunning medieval architectural landmarks.  


3. Walk down Blinde Ezelstraat, also known as Blinde Donkey Street, a unique, narrow street famous for its passage underneath the Town Hall, which leads to a picturesque view from the Blinde-Ezelbrug. It features several brick buildings and a middle passage with intricate goldwork.  


4. Enjoy the view of Rozenhoedkaai, one of the most photographed spots of Bruges. This peaceful water oasis, encapsulated by medieval buildings lining its banks, is straight out of a postcard.

5. Admire the Church of Our Lady, home to Michelangelo's Madonna and Child sculpture, an awe-inspiring architectural masterpiece that soars over Bruges. This impressive Roman Catholic church dates back to the 13th and 14th centuries. Its height is 379 feet, and it is the second-tallest brickwork tower in the world.

6. St. Bonifacius Bridge - Take a picture or admire this small, arched stone bridge set in an idyllic, tranquil setting.
