Let's go
1. Explore Dam Square. The place where the name Amsterdam came from is the Dam and the river Amstel. Amsterdam was built approximately 750 years ago. This busy bustling square is the city's heartbeat, surrounded by a 15th-century church, the Golden Age Royal Palace, the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, and a national monument dedicated to Dutch victims of World War II. Whether you want to go shopping, dine in, or capture some quintessential Amsterdam moment, it has to be here. And a stone's throw away is Damrak for the breathtaking backdrop of dancing houses.
2. Take an open boat canal tour to understand and admire the historic city from a unique and different perspective.
3. Visit a museum - there are 19 museums in the city center itself. The Rijks Museum, the National Museum of the Netherlands, consists of 8000 masterpieces. Make sure to catch the crown jewel of the Dutch Rembrandt's "Night Watch", and a selective collection of Dutch artwork. Close by is the Van Gogh Museum, the 19th-century legend and beloved painter, dedicated to his vast array of work.
4. Explore the creative gastronomy from the Dutch classic cuisine to global eateries, Amsterdam is a foodies paradise. From the sinful stroopwafel to scrumptious fries to the apple pie to pan Asian entries, it is truly delicious. Here are the best we experienced-
Miri Mary - this artistic and creative Culinary delight is with an authentic Indian flavor in the Museum District. A reservation is recommended
Winkel 43 -I swear by its decadent apple pie and espresso. A must-visit near the Jordan neighborhood and within walking distance from Anne Frank's.
Mortimer- Whether you opt for a brunch or breakfast, this place will serve you just right. Locally sourced and fresh, and surely palatable
5. Visit Anne Frank, the most moving and heartfelt piece of the city, surely is an emotionally powerful visit to the world's most well-known and well-read book, where it all started, Anne Frank's Huis, its Secret Annex. Where she was hiding for 2 years and writing her diary during World War!! Eventually, they got caught and died in the concentration camp. Later, Anne's Father, the only survivor of the family, published this heartfelt book of courage and love. Visiting this house will give you the feeling of what life was like back then.
