Wickham Park a treat for nature lover in Connecticut

Generally, in the daily grind or claustrophobic life, those who want to escape instantly without going on vacation often find sanity in their neighborhood park. And my answer to that in Connecticut is the Wickham park, tucked in greenery and rolling hills, in 250 acres consisting of 10 unique gardens, whether you want to go for the whole day or want to spend a few hours with a short walk, nothing better than this. Picnic tables to playgrounds to city view, private event areas to trails to the bird sanctuary to whatnot, all in one. 

The best part of this beautiful Connecticut Park charms you throughout the year: spring with cherry blooms, daffodils, and tulips, summer with roses, fall with leaf-peeping, and winter with sledding.

The Oriental Garden. I have visited this park many times, but nothing beats the serenity and tranquility of this oriental garden. Whether it's the white, carved bridge, the cherry trees, the pond, the Japanese-inspired architectural elements, or the Chinese-inspired gate, everything is loved.

The Cabin Garden and Amphitheater, I love the Hartford skyline, and the vivid greenery of the Farmington Valley.

The Lotus Garden is lovely, with a cute little entry gate, and I was pleasantly surprised by the bamboo trees. You can take a wonderful walk in nature, taken aback by the natural setting. There are many terrains to explore. 

The Italian Garden I love the entrance with small Italian sculptures with vivid tulip blooms in the entrance. 

Sensory Garden: Serene and charming yet vivid - that's how I would describe this unique garden area. Walking through the flowers and lush greenery is simply beautiful.
