Bandra, Mumbai .....connecting, creating and coexisting

A few years back when I visited Mumbai, I touched the major tourist spots in Mumbai. After a few years, now I got the chance to visit a few neighborhoods in Mumbai. Bandra is one of the most popular neighborhoods. Synonym to the residence of many Bollywood celebrity's homes. Growing up in the 90s as a kid in India, there is no way you are not exposed to Bollywood. Bollywood is not just about movies but also about star-studded life. Back then, the was no influence of social media yet heard about the affluent suburb of Mumbai Bandra where many stars reside. In the 20s people who visit Mumbai make sure to visit Bandra to see Manat Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan's home. Also, to get a glimpse of the superstar. Today's Bandra is hip utterly modern filled with a great fashion hub, great eateries, art music, and many more. Encompassed by the Arabian Sea, Bandra conjures the co-existence of cultures, communities, religions, and financial status. Where standing tall is the Mount Marry church, where Bollywood's most highly paid stars live and at the same time you will find poor people in Bandrastand searching through rags on the beach for their livelihood.

Three Places I visited

Mount Mary Church - This 300-year-old picturesque and serene Roman Catholic Church also known as mount basilica was built in 1640 and rebuilt in 1760. Dedicated to Virgin Mary it is adorably delightful with semi-gothic architecture both interior and exterior located on the top of the hill of the heart of Bandra close to the seashore.

Bandra Bandstand Promenade

Vivacious and spirited, uniquely rocky, a mile-long boardwalk surrounded by widespread Arabian sea is a popular tourist spot as well as a jogging/walking spot for locals. It is a place you can hang out or take a hike with an opportunity to watch vivid people however, you won't find any sandy beach area here.

Pereira Road is very close to the Mont Mary church these steps are vibrant and unique whether you just want to stroll around amidst of trees and greenery or capture some cool pictures or idle any other way.

Keeping it simple-random things about me

Hello my dear readers, how are you all doing? Summer vacation has just started here on the east coast. My kids are having a gala time. I can't tell you how time is flying. My time is all occupied by them. Taking to them, playing with them, take them to the library, reading stories and most importantly cooking their favorite food. Bartaco, West Hartford , Connecticut review

It was a usual February day, the chill felt like tucking in the furry comforter and stay cozy at home. But, the matter of the fact was that it was my birthday and my family wanted me to take out for dinner. I was reluctant and wanted to stay at home. My little one was after me and I couldn't say no.
