Pastel - A few ways and how to wear pastel

There was a time when pastel was limited to Ester holiday. However, in the Indian fashion scene, sporting pastel is not unusual. I love how pastel colors have been dominating for a couple of seasons, and it looks like they're going to continue to dominate the upcoming fall season as well.        I lean towards neutral these days, and pastel colors work great in that way. It's easy to dress up without being flashy, yet you can always add accessories to complement a more statement look. How to wear pastel You can never go wrong wearing pastel with neutral. It is the most common and easiest way to wear pastel. People often worry about pairing pastel with a statement or darker palette, that it might take away the soothing and soft character. But in reality, it accentuates the pastel. You can wear pastel with pastel. Mixing up pastel is surely cool. Let pastel take the lead; there's no need to add anything, as pastel has its own inherent...

Pasighat, Arunach Pradesh, India a told untold tale

No matter where you are from, once you enter this part of the world, far from the maddening crowd, to the far eastern corner of India, this state awaits to unfold some unforgettable moments, bejeweled moments of simplicity and serenity upon you. The lanky battle nut trees, the line-like rivers, and the lush greenery, with lucid, clear water streams and a wide-open, aqua sky, along with the charming faces of tribal women carrying baskets on their backs, are familiar scenes in the state of Arunachal, the state of the rising sun. The home of more than 20 vibrant tribes is a region of undulating terrain and relatively unexplored areas.          This is a brief introduction to the state of Arunachal and its neighboring state, Assam, which is also my home state. And the placid City of Pasighat is Arunachal's cherished possession. Less than 100 miles away from Tea City Dibrugarh, Assam. Pasighat is your perfectly delightful destinat...

Blooming Jelly an affordable fashion with chic choices

It's not very quite often we come across affordable fashion brand with chic style. Sometimes if fashion is affordable, you have to compromise with style and sometimes we meet great style but the price is out of reach. A few days back, Blooming Jelly , a women fashion brand reached out to me for collaboration and I browsed through and was pleasantly surprised with their array of women clothing, swimwear, hoodie dress to tops. It is a melange of chic and understated fashion at an affordable price. Zoonskaya , Sivasagar Assam review

I heard the buzz and rave reviews of Zoonskaya from my family and friends in Sivasagar  When we visited Sivasagar  in our recent Assam trip I wanted to visit Zoonskaya. Sadly the night was already occupied as they are supposed to have a wedding party and I had no choice but to visit for lunch. A few miles from the hustle of the city, Zonnskaya is nested in a most gorgeous natural setting encompass with pond, trees, fields and emerged into modern esthetics.         I thank my stars for coming for lunch, as I was awed by the beautiful vistas in the daylight. A stunning, open-air space with a fireplace feels like one gorgeous restaurant, but if you step outside, which you eventually will, the wonder awaits you: a beautiful pond with green mountains on the horizon, offering a Caribbean resort-like experience in Assamese aesthetics.  I was amused by the morals on the walls and cherry on top, the tree of mango to jackfruit, fe...

When we planned our Mumbai trip it was initially a two days trip but because of a technical issue on our fight made everything not what we expected. We had only  24 hours to explore. Mumbai is huge and 24 hours is too short to explore thanks to my cousin and his wife who helped us get a good glimpse of the city even for such a short time. Look forward to visiting Mumbai and know more with more time.       The city of charm, the City of Dreams, where dreams rise every day with the rising skyscrapers. Alfresco Grand Cruise Guwahati review

The Great River, the Brahmaputra, holds immense significance in Assam and for the people of Assam. It's not just a river, but the lifeline of the Assamese people, an inspiration, a source of love, and, most importantly, the leading water resource.        If you want to see and know a city, you must visit the river, whether the Seine in France or the Hudson in Newyork. This time, when I visited Guwahati, my brother suggested taking the Alfresco Grand Cruise in Guwahati. I instantly agreed, and it turned out to be one of the most amazing river cruises.        As I mentioned earlier, the Brahmaputra has a huge significance in an Assamese life and so does in my life. I have seen the Brahmaputra since my birth, sometimes as flooded and the most destructive and sometimes as serene and placid. I have taken a few ferry rides as well but never a cruise.        We booked the cruise a...
